Yeah, I found out about Google Earth a few weeks ago and was surprised to know our lowly Zamboanga is in it! I cant find our house though, maybe I should tell my father to paint the words SIASON’S PALACE on our rooftop.

i haven’t checked it out yet, but yeah, chu and nald did mention it once. sige, i’ll check it out now. haha.

dont bother, chu – it still won’t be readable! you can see where the schools are by finding the long, narrow, green roofs with white lettering on them, but u cant make out the letters. :( the resolution of our images is still less than that of other countries, like the US. but at least it’s improving! :)

heids – found your house daw? :)

    uy! galing naman, pano yan?

  • flisha

head on over to maps.google.com or download google earth. :) maybe you’ll find your house too!

    i can’t be 100% sure, but i *think* i found my place. :D

Hi,Flisha! How come you got a better resolution of zamboanga than i did? Yours is really clear while mine was really low-res. Is it w/ the preferences? Pls.shed me some light, thank you. :)

  • flisha

hey m3rcury – are you using google earth? i noticed that google’s earth images are just a wee bit of lower quality than those on the website. you try to capture images from maps.google.com instead. :)

oh, and not all of zamboanga is available in high-res. only the pueblo and its surrounding barangays. if say you live in upper calarian you might not have high-res anymore. sucks, actually. im lucky talon-talon is within 5 meters of the pueblo. i wanted to see la vista but no luck there.
