Cebu Pacific All-In Fares

Posted on 11 June 2008 by Flisha

I checked the fare for a one-way ticket from Manila to Zamboanga and I was elated to find the ticket was at zero peso. With fuel charges and taxes, the total price was P1,500. Not bad for a one way ticket. It’s usually at P2,000+ even with promo prices.

(Checking with Philippine Airlines, a one-way ticket costs P3000+ at the cheapest. And that’s already quite cheap. For the last few months there, PAL was cheaper than Cebu Pacific even with their Go Fares, but now’s Cebu Air’s got the lead again.)

The latest promo from Cebu Pacific runs from June 12-17. Travel period is from July 1 to October 15. I’m booking tickets for my midterm and semestral breaks! :-)

“All-in” means that the prices they’re advertising are the actual total rate they’re charging, inclusive of fuel charges, taxes, fees, whatever. What a relief! I used to hate hearing their term “zero fare” when it’s really zero PLUS other charges. Isn’t that nonsense? At least now they’re more upfront about their fees.

Can you believe you can get on an airplane for only P699??? Wow that’s even cheaper than riding the ferry.

You gotta love market rivalry! :D
