In her latest State of the Nation Address, she said that Zamboanga City was "no man's land" and fit to give away to the Moros. And she has displaced and disrupted so many families, forcing government employees to move to Pagadian without even giving them any sort of allowance so they could bring their families along. I have an inkling they are not supportive of ZC being part of BJE but at the same time their loyalties run deep and are uncomfortable with taking sides against their Muslim brothers. And that's what I am talking about. This issue is just forcing Muslims and Christians further apart, creating hostilities when what we should be aiming for is harmony and unity! When I was staying in Davao City for about 8 months, I came to know how Mindanao was treated differently in many ways. It is sad to think about it because you are all from the same nation. Whether Muslim or Christian, I believe that there is always goodness in people. Very often, it is only a small group of radical people that are making life difficult for the majority and using religion as shield to justify what they are doing. Peace to all!
