Philippine Airlines (PAL) is open to accepting applicants for various jobs in their company, including the position of pilot.
Applicants must comply with PAL’s list of desirable characteristics. From the PAL website:
People who exemplify the Filipino’s desirable traits: mapagmalasakit [compassionate], matulungin [helpful], masipag [industrious], matiyaga [persevering] and masayahin [cheerful]. People who possess a sparkling personality that can inspire, impress and attract. Who exude warmth and confidence when dealing with others from all walks of life.
Further qualifications for the position of pilot:
* Must be a Filipino citizen
* Must be at least 5’4
* Must have 20/20 vision (corrective lenses allowed)
* College Graduate
* Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking in English
* Must have at least 500 hours flying time for Second Officer
* Must possess at least a CPL with instrument rating
* Must possess a Radiotelephone Operator Certificate
