Angela Suleman is the Grandmother of Octuplets (Is Nadya Suleman the Mother?)

I blogged about the California octuplets a few days ago. Back then, the identity of the mother was unknown. Today, we find out that the grandmother of these octuplets is Angela Suleman, wife of a former Iraqi military man. Furthermore, the family has filed for bankruptcy and abandoned their home almost two years ago.

The unnamed mother still lives with her parents, is in the midthirties, and does not seem to have a husband or a boyfriend. What’s more shocking is that she already has six chilren so now she has a total of fourteen children! Due to the circumstances, the grandfather is reportedly going back to Iraq to work for the family.

The mother, whose name may be Nadya Suleman (it is still unclear), conceived the eight embryos through a fertility treatment. It is unknown the source of these treatments, as the hospital received Nadya when she was already three months pregnant. She was given the choice to abort but Nadya decided to wanted to keep all her children.

Currently, the family is living in a two-to-three bedroom house. I have absolutely no idea why a mother with six children and not much money would ever want even more children. Is she insane???

Christ, what’s wrong with her. Now days it’s hard to raise 3 kids let alone 14 of them. Especially when your a single parent. And how come she has the same last name as her parents…I bet she was never married and probably had the same procedure done for all of the children?

Some neighbors say her first name is Nadya, presumably the last name is Suleman. But, on a personal search site, she is listed as Nadya S. Gutierrez, age 33.
