Pelicola, which takes its name from the Filipino word for movie, pelikula, is a Filipino start-up that launched on January 19 of this year. The site aims to create original Filipino shows that will be exclusively available online for free.
Pelicola is designed for an online audience, and has partnered up with RJ Underground Radio 105.9, Fully Booked, Story Philippines and Rogue magazine for content. At the moment, it is streaming five channels: Black Christmas Project, Rogue | Presents, Alive at the Womb, Pelicola Insider, and MusikCinemaNeu.
Pelicola offer regular and high-definition programming, and is founded by filmmaker and graphic designer Noel Guevara.
