This may be old news but i have just read here that Disney is a set to create the fourth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean. That is, if they finally iron out some issues between them and Johnny Depp. The upcoming movie franchise will also be reportedly based on a novel by Tim Powers about the famous pirate Black Beard and his search for the fountain of youth. Disney plans to replace Black Beard with Barbossa though, with Depp making a comeback as Captain Jack Sparrow (Need some promotional pencils for that, Cap’en?).
Seems to me that some people are just out to make some good ol’ pieces o’ eight. I don’t know, but the idea of another POTC movie doesn’t appeal that much to me anymore. I feel that it’s kinda getting old. Same old characters, same tortous, life-threatening quests (which the main characters always seem to weather despite taking a trip to Davy Jones’ locker), same old romance.
The first movie was really, definitely good. The rest, well, let’s just say it would have been best to leave the first movie alon

i agree. the first movie was brilliant. the second was way too long. i didn’t even watch the third and don’t feel compelled to do so until now.
