…Pocket Chain Saw! People just can’t get enough of pocket things. You’ve got a pocket watch, a pocket knife, a pocket book, a pocket phone, even a pocket assistant!

Now, with this latest invention, you wouldn’t be caught off-guard when you need to cut that tree for Christmas (like when you need a quick rapid opiate detox after that all-night partying). All you have to do is wrap the saw around the part you want to cut and start sawing. At approximately 3 ounces, its lightweight and very portable.

However, it’s manually operated though and not automatic. Too bad, it would’ve been perfect though.

That’s it. South Korean President Lee Myung-bak vowed to retaliate should North Korea do anything similar to last Tuesday’s deadly attack on Yeonpyeong Island that left two soldiers and two civilians dead with hundreds more fleeing for safety.

“Attacking civilians militarily is an inhumane crime that is strictly forbidden in a time of war… Now is the time to show action, not a hundred words,” President Lee was quoted as saying in his first address to his country a week after the attack. President Lee received heavy criticism last week for his weak response to North Korea’s deadly attack.

In response to this latest incident, US warships steamed into South Korean waters in what could only be a show of force in support of its longtime Asian ally. Meanwhile, Malacanang has ruled out sending Philippine troops to South Korea should war break out between the two Koreas citing insufficient equipment and personnel.

The Philippine government would still honor the mutual defense agreement it has with both South Korea and the US by sending in medical and civilian personnel as well as aid services should war be declared.

Yeah, I’m excited (like a teenager who just discovered a teenage acne product). Today marked my first visit to the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to have my pictures taken for my application for this February’s Physician Licensure Exams- the final step I have to take for me to become a fully minted medical doctor.

Needless to say, this was a long time coming. Exactly 5 years and 5 months after I made the decision to be a doctor, I’m now almost there. In two months and a half, on February 13-14, and 20-21, I’ll be taking the exam of my life, the exam I’ve been gearing up for for 5 long years. At last, I’ll have that license- soon.

Pure, unadulterated B-movie is how I would describe The Legion. With a B-movie plot, B-movie cast, and a B-movie dialogue, this film entertains by making you scoff and wince, and mock- all at the same time (unlike these best acne treatments that are guaranteed to smoothen your skin).

Set in the present, or near future (it’s hard to tell), the Legion tells the tale of Micheal the Archangel, sent to destroy mankind but who at the last minute, has a change of heart and decides to save it instead. The key to mankind’s future is a babe born to a single mom who loathes it and her boyfriend who loves her despite the fact that the child is not his own.

Hard to argue against an angel with an SMG

Featuring Paul Bettany (best remembered as Silas in the Da Vinci Code), and Dennis Quaid, it’s part-shoot ‘em up, part medieval fantasy that honestly doesn’t make that much sense. But if all you’re after is some fighting scenes, then this movie is definitely for you. Rating: 4/10.

9. 9 is a stitchpunk. He is a small little doll made out of straw, spare zippers and some robotic parts (no doubt stitched together using web directories).

He wakes up in the middle of an empty room, to a world devoid of life. Outside, the wasteland reigns among the rubble of a what clearly was once a great city. Gingerly stepping outside, 9 meets another stitch punk named 2. Before 2 can tell him what he is about, a murderous cat-beast comes and attacks them. 2 forces 9 to hide in a discarded can while he valiantly tries to fend off the beast. Of course he fails. And as 9 looks on helplessly, 2 is carried away, his hands pleadingly out-stretched. Scared 9, runs and seeks shelter. In this scary, hostile, post-apocalyptic world, will 9 survive? Better yet, who is 9? And what happened to reduce the world to such ruin?

9 is a short (and I mean really short- running time 1 hr 5 minutes) film directed by Shane Acker and produced by Tim Burton. The film was adapted from a short film (shorter than this one) of the same name, created when Acker was still a student. The film is tragic, yet heart warming at the same time. The visuals are really great albeit, a bit dark. Overall, I’ll give this a 7/10.

What would you do with 741 Million Pesos (USD 16, 700, 473. 30)? I’ll probably buy myself a mansion in the Caribbean, a sweet sports car, a race horse, some shiny riding boots and tour the world. Seems like the stuff of dreams, right?

Well, not for one guy who just hit the jackpot of a lifetime by being the sole winner of the Philippine Lottery 6/55 Grand Draw. Hitting the winning combination of 11-16-42-47-31-37, it seems like this extremely lucky bettor is set for life. Lottery officials still do not know the identity of the winner but what is known is that the ticket was bought at a Subic outlet.

The 741 Million pot is the biggest pot in the country’s history. The highest pot prior to this was in February 2009 where a 347 Million Peso pot was won by two bettors who split the prize between them.

After the kiss. LOL this is cute. Mu Gyul kisses Mae Ri and afterwards she runs off. He belatedly realizes it’s her first kiss, and apologizes. Then he bends down and tells her since he did something bad, go ahead and hit him. And Mae Ri does, saying: “My first kiss should be with someone I love. You jerk! Playboy!” Then she runs away again. Haha!

Mae Ri the next time they meet. She blushes at the sight of Mu Gyul drinking water. (Well why does he have to drink water so seductively!! I would blush too. Haha. Mu Gyul asks her why is she blushing, did she catch a cold? And she says, yeah she must have, and she’s gotta go. LOL.

Oooh, Jung In plays the guitar too! But he can’t finish because his hand cramps. And it’s scarred. Hmm, I wonder what happened to him and Mae Ri when they were little. I mean, there’s no such thing as coincidences in Korean dramas, right? :)

Kang Mu Gyul’s mom and Mae Ri’s dad act so immaturely, and the two of them reflect on it. Then they get into a tiff over Mae Ri calling herself Mu Gyul’s noona, or something like that. Mae Ri runs off again. Okay, is she going to keep running away this entire ep?!

Episode 7 preview. OMG Mae Ri gets kissed by Jung In!!! *Getting all giggly* And Mu Gyul gets all sorts of jealous! Ooh, can’t I be Mae Ri instead? Hahaha!

And oh! How amazingly cute does Mu Gyul look with short hair?! *Crush* (Even though he just shaved about ten years off his age. OMG am I pervert? Haha.) Ah I love Jang Geun Seuk. He’s still the best looking Kdrama star I’ve come across. :) Haha. *Spazz*

Joo Won kisses Ra Im in this episode!! First kiss, weeee! Even more unbelievably, it’s really Ra Im doing the kissing since they’ve switched bodies. Ra Im thinks that kissing will reverse the situation, which is why she suggested it. But after the kiss, she is still in Joo Won’s body.

Joo Won tells her it’s because the kiss was too light so he goes in for the kill.

Here’s a scene where Joo Won thinks of looking at Ra Im’s breasts. Of course all he would have to do was lift up the shirt. LOL. Naughty Joo Won. But when he starts to lift, he finds all Ra Im’s scars. He inspects her body all over, and heaves a heavy sigh at how bruised and injured she is. Watch it here.

Here is where Joo Won shaves Ra Im and Ra Im teaches Joo Won how to put on a bra. Side note: Weird! I don’t put on a bra like that! Haha. I just put my arms behind me and hook them easily. But maybe Hyun Bin couldn’t reach his arms that far and they had to show it like that. Hahaha! Are there any girls out there who wear their bras like this?!

Here we are, Episode 5 of Secret Garden. This is where it happens, people! The body switch!! Can’t wait to see it. :)

The first part of this ep is so sweet. Oska and Ra Im arrive at Jeju Island, and they’re supposed to have their romantic dinner, but Joo Won is already there! And they can’t sit anywhere because Joo Won has reserved all the tables. So they have to sit with him. Hahaha. Cute. :)

Seems like there will be a kiss in the next episode! :)
