ITIL RCV V3 Certification Exam

Posted on 29 January 2011 by Flisha

Well. I have finally finished a harrowing week’s worth of ITIV V3 RCV Training! My mind felt like it was being rubbed raw by abrasives this whole time, because every after training, I still have to work, and my client is escalating issues to my manager, and I had meetings left and right, and received all sorts of work-related distractions. I was hardly able to study. :(

Ensue cramming on the night before the ITIL exam!!!

The training I took, by the way, is for the Release, Control and Validation life stages of the ITIL Service Management life cycle. Yeah, that’s my boring line of work. :) But it feeds, clothes and shelters me, so I am grateful for it, and grateful for the opportunities to learn and grow my knowledge.

I slept at around 3 am last night already. And at the end of that, I had only finished reading the ITIL Foundations refresher, the introduction to Service Transition, and the Change Management part. I hadn’t even begun Service Evaluation, Configuration Management, Release and Deployment Management, Service Validation, or any of the Roles and Responsibilities! I was exhausted and at the same time panicky because I failed the first mock exam!

Luckily I think the studying did some good as I passed the second mock exam this morning. We had our actual ITIL RCV V3 exam in the afternoon, and we will find out our scores in two weeks.

Gosh, I hope I passed!!!

Lying Careless on a Beach

Good Luck Gim!

Posted on 26 January 2011 by Flisha

In a few days, my Gim is coming to visit me. ♥

I am so happy. I’ve missed him so much!

He is probably reading lipozene reviews right now, or all sorts of medical terms. I tried quizzing him a few times to help him study for the 2011 Physician boards, but I could barely go through a sentence without my tongue stumbling over the words!! All the -zene’s and -ily’s and -sty’s and oh what long words.

To Gim: I know you wish you were just lying carelessly on a beach somewhere right now – no studying to do – no thinking – no worrying – no stress – no pressure. God knows I feel the same.

But, this too shall pass! And I know you’ve studied your hardest and worked so hard – I pray you get your due. :) No promises, no pressure, sweetie. I will always love you whatever happens! :)

Lying Careless on a Beach

Everyone, please pray my Gim passes the boards! Nothing is sure in this world, and he needs all the help he can get! :)

Good luck Gim!!!!

Max’s Restaurant Zamboanga

Posted on 26 January 2011 by Flisha

I love the contemporary furniture the fast foods are sporting nowadays. I noticed when I went back home to Zamboanga last month that Jollibee/Greenwich/Chowking/etc were newly renovated or undergoing renovation. Greenwich is now full of sofas instead of hard chairs! Love! ♥

Check it out – Max’s Restaurant is already in Zamboanga! Yay! It’s about time we got some new family-friendly restaurants in town. Would you categorize Max’s as a fast food restaurant? I think for Zamboanga it would already be considered upscale, since we seriously lack good restaurants back home.

Max's Restaurant Zamboanga City

Like, if you were to celebrate the graduation of a family member, where would you go? Off the top of my head I would say Palmeras, Greenfields or Alavar’s. A good place to eat is Aristocrat, however I think the service/ambiance is a bit lousy (same goes for former Sunburst, renamed Zacky’s Chicken, where I prefer take-out). Lantaka is a hit-or-miss (do NOT try their steak!) and the service is really bad. There are many other restaurants in Zamboanga, but I’ve dismissed most of them since I don’t think their food is up to par, or they don’t have enough space to host a big group. Well – correct me if I am wrong, since I haven’t spent that much time home in the last few years already. For example, I heard that Country Chicken has a new owner and already upgraded their menu, but I didn’t know that so I wasn’t able to eat there before I left (next time!). And how about Hai San (not sure if I’m correct), the last time I ate there the food was really good, but I didn’t like the ambiance – too many old men.

Anyway, the point is, Max’s is a welcome and much-awaited addition to Zamboanga! Everytime we passed by there was always a line! The first few days of opening, the line was so long. And it seemed everyone I knew was there. One time, I told Gim we should go somewhere else because I didn’t want to talk to a certain acquaintance, haha. The next time, there was again another acquaintance I didn’t want to chitchat with, but I stayed and bore it because I really wanted to eat at Max’s already! Haha. For such a big city, we have such a small town… it’s next to impossible to not bump into someone you know when you’re out and about. One time I had dessert with friends in Catribo, it seemed my entire high school showed up. Haha!

Ah, but I miss Zamboanga. ♥

My Princess Episode 7 Spoiler

Posted on 26 January 2011 by Flisha

Oh My Gawd The First Kiss!!! Okay, so I am not sure which episode we will see this on, but it’s this week for sure, so maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow. But hopefully tonight! :)

my princess episode 7 spoiler kiss

From Nate:

Song Seung Heon and Kim Tae Hee are to share a ‘stairway kiss’ in their drama!

On the upcoming episodes of MBC’s Wednesday & Thursday drama ‘My Princess,’ Song Seung Heon and Kim Tae Hee will share a risky kiss, which is scheduled to air on January 26th and the 27th.

The pair have always argued with one another, but they grew fond of each other over time, and they will finally go deeper into the love lines, showing a more developed relationship.

In the 7th episode, Lee Suhl (Kim Tae Hee) and Park Haeyoung (Song Seung Heon) visit a small village on an island where they shared childhood memories. Lee Suhl begins to slowly find memories of her father and couldn’t hold in her excitement as she decides to drink a bit. In a drunken state, Lee Suhl receives a piggy back ride from Haeyoung and she pecks a surprise kiss on Haeyoung’s cheeks in midst of her drunken banter.

Haeyoung is surprised for a moment, and says to Lee Suhl, who blinks and smiles gently, “What happens right now…forget it,” and shares a romantic kiss with her.

The two filmed the kiss scene on the snow-covered stairs as they fought through the rigorous winds where their lips could freeze. With the kiss scene that could melt Jack Frost, it evokes curiosity as to how the relationship of the two will change.

A representative of the production company Curtain Call said, “Haeyoung did purposely prevent Lee Suhl from ‘becoming a princess’ ,because if she did become a princess with Jaegun, all of his inheritance would be taken away, but he couldn’t hide his beating heart for her and now they’re slowly transitioning into falling in love” and “Episodes 7-8 will be the starting point in foreshadowing the love line between the two”.

Here is the episode 7 video preview:

And the translation:

Lee Sol: Are you seriously going to stoop this low and torture me like this?
Yoon Ju: Do you want to hear me say your highness to you?
Lee Sol: Wow, you’re really scary.
Hae Young: She probably feels like you and me when we were young.
Yoon Ju: Yun Min should be given to someone who deserves it.
Hae Young: I’m going crazy because of you. Only if you were easy to watch after…
Yoon Ju: If the chairman passes away, from that moment everything will be null and void.
Lee Sol: I’m going to take on the role as the Princess.
