Skip Beat, aka 華麗的挑戰 / Extravagant Challenge, is a Taiwanese drama based on a Japanese manga. HS grad Gong Xi gives up her chances for university in order to support friend Bu Po Shang in his pop idol career. Shang betrays Gong Xi so she vows to get revenge by becoming a bigger star than him. She meets famous actor Dun Helian and, after a rocky start, they eventually fall in love. Stars Ivy Chen, Choi Si Won, Lee Dong Hae and Bianca Bai.
