Right now I am hunting for Magical Glow. I’m not sure where I can get it. I need to it make my Solar Pickaxe so I can mine Level 14 items. I’m completing Hello Kitty’s Birthday Quest but there are some high level items I can’t gather because I simply haven’t had time to complete all the quests yet. Grrr.

So anyway, hopefully some Magical Glow can come out of these Rainbow Trees. :)

The HKO commercial launch for the Southeast Asian market, specifically Malaysia and Singapore, began today, August 5. And since the international version has not opened since last February, most of the die-hard HKO founders (like me!), nonMalaysians, nonSingaporeans, or otherwise, all of us came to play and saw each other again in the HKO MY/SG client.

We’ve had to start all over again, but I don’t mind, since I love to play HKO in any way I can. Okay, I do mind. LOL. I miss all my gear and I hate the way it takes so long to kill a crab. But, it’s fun still. Fun meeting and talking with people from all over the world, with one passion, and that is playing Hello Kitty Online! :-)

So that’s me, by the lake, gathering strange leaves from the dark opal basil. I’m all in green. That’s the new newbie garb! Meh, I think I prefer the old shirt and jeans look though. There’s a weird new lily on the lake too, that looks like it wasn’t there before. Why is it shaped like a paw?

Gone are the thin merchants of old, the new merchant is fat and jolly! What do you think? Do we approve? Mm, it will take some getting used to.

There is a new character in Sanrio Harbor! His name is Kappi and he likes surfboards!

Kappi’s task is to have you play a minigame not unlike Simon Says. I played it like 30 times before I got my reward. A nonsparkling, nontinkling necklace. Blah. Why don’t the necklaces sparkle anymore? :-(

The farm is now based in Florapolis! Great change I have to say! Now that it is in Flora, we get to farm much sooner and can make money faster! I love it! :-) Oh and you now get messages sent to your chat screen when your plants are about to die so you can rush in and save them. Cool huh!

Speaking of plants, that’s me in my simple basic farm that I didn’t have to pay for, waiting for my potatoes to grow.

There’s a new portal in Sanrio Harbor and it’s Tuxedo Sam’s own home! Yay! He gives a minigame where you have to fish. Except it’s a bit buggy because I only got to play once, and lost because I didn’t know the game rules yet, and he won’t let me play it again. Now I can’t finish his quest. Grrr….

At the end of the first day, GM Jam told us we’d have a “Meet the GMs” session where he’d give us a gift if we chatted with the GMs. Well, I was there the whole time and we ended up trying to make an HKO sign out of our avatars. It took a LOOONG time. And in the end, GM Jam said she’d give us our presents tomorrow. Wahhh! I don’t even know if I’ll be able to access HKO tomorrow! Urgh. (By the way, that’s me in the letter K, with the orange garb and blue hair. Ugly, I know. But I don’t have money to buy better stuff! Urgh I hate being new.)

Hello Kitty Online is now open for pre-registration in the Philippines, says the HKO website.

There is going to be a Founders’ Beta to be launched by Level Up! Games (publisher of the MMORPG games in the Philippines).

Hello Kitty Online remains to be the cutest MMORPG ever, and I will always be a fan. I’m registering to play HKO Philippines right now, because I want to play HKO however and whenever I can!

Still, I am very proud of my accomplishments in the HKO international version. I founded a guild called Vampire Kittens and I love my guildmates, they are all so great! I don’t want to lose my guild or my house or my farm or all my accessories in HKO so I really really really hope that Hello Kitty won’t retire the HKO international client but will still let us play from our country portals OR from the international portal. I sure will choose to play both! Hahaha!

Finally! Some news about Hello Kitty Online! Here I thought we were destined to lose it to the recession, while I no longer had a convenient excuse to avoid the treadmill, but no, the HKO engineers are simply busy expanding Hello Kitty World! And now we have Beijing! Yay! A piece of Asia in HKO!

The image here is of the Bubble Dome. Other places in Beijing are the Forbidden Museum (orangy place with lots of breakable royal relics!), the Sports Stadium (five multicolored pastel stars instead of primary-color rings, natch!) and 8 new maps for Beijing City outskirts! Sweet!!

I am so excited!!!! When do we get to play HKO again???

Now we know why the return of Hello Kitty Online has been delayed so much. (There’s usually less than two months in between betas, but this time it’s almost three and there’s no word yet on when HKO is coming back.) Hello Kitty Online is coming back in full 3D mode! OMGGGGG!

The HKO team just released a 3D trailer for HKO and it looks candyliciously wonderful! Take a peek!

All the costumes look so pretty! I want a flying car too! And I miss my pet Treetop! :( :( :(

Wahhh! I want my Hello Kitty Online! When’s the next open beta????

Playing Hello Kitty Online jumped ten levels of fun when I made a guild and invited people to join it. My guildmates turned out to be really sweet and nice, and we all got along great, which was a pleasant surprise.

SecretAsianKitty, one of the first few guildees I invited to join Vampire Kittens, even gave me a deed to a house! Deeds are rare these days. They were only available during the Build NYC event back in October, and I hadn’t played much of it. Some founders like SAK still carry some extra deeds, but most have already used them up or given theirs away. So I was pretty excited when SAK just out of the blue gave me a deed! (Thank you SAK!!!)

We decided to build the house in my farm and it would serve as our guild house! We named it Den of Vampire Kittens. (House of Vampire Kittens was too long.) All of my guildmates pitched in to help at one point or another, so we got to complete my house before HKO Happy Hearts ended, yay!

In any HKO event, there’s always that one last quest which beats all quests – the hunt to gather billions and trillions of items to make one single item. In the case of the Happy Hearts event, we had to come up with as many charity shirts and charity bags as we could.

To make one bag, we needed:

75 silk = 592 high quality cotton, 1500 bad wood
75 red dye = 1110 sorosis, 750 water, 750 clay
75 soft cotton = 1500 cotton

And to make one shirt, we needed:

210 silk = 1680 high quality cotton, 4200 bad wood

The goal of our guild (Vampire Kittens) was at first to make 10 bags and 10 shirts. When we realized the cost of that goal:

We needed to gather bad wood. So I had to grow coffee beans, and wait for 7 days days without watering them so they would die. Then I could gather the wood. One tree gives 5 bad wood, and it takes about 7 seconds to gather one piece of bad wood. So you can imagine how long it took for us to complete 1500 bad wood!

I was lucky I was already done with all the quests in Sanrio, I could focus on the charity quest full-on. My guildees weren’t all that lucky. Some of them still had many unfinished quests in Paris and London.

LOL. Let me take this moment to say thank you so very much to my guildmates for helping to complete the charity quest. Even though they were busy completing other quests, and time was limited in HKO Happy Hearts (only two weeks!), they still managed to support me all the way.

Thank you especially to SabreGypsy who contributed a lot of bad wood and copper rings. Thank you to Tifanii who made the slick stone and helped a lot with the cotton. Thank you to Swamplilly who kept the wands and tees. Thank you to Slinky who had the genius idea of how to gather the wands and tees, but later left the guild because we had too many activities (LOL). You are always welcome in our guild!

Thank you to Yausapphire, Melody, Mimisama, Ziggy, Underwood, Deer, Lolitron, Kiff and all the others (sorry if I failed to mention you, just remind me!!) who helped with the so many little things like the gathering of wands, tees, cotton, sorosis, gravel, stone fragments, etc. and especially with building my house.

I miss my guild so much. :( Hopefully there will be an Easter event so we can meet each other again soonest. Or better yet, hopefully Hello Kitty Online will finally finish development and be released for good, so we can play everyday! LOL.
