The Zookeeper is one of the comedy films I’m looking forward to watching this year! Because, boy, it feels like there hasn’t been much output in that genre!
People are comparing the movie to Night at the Museum, which, you know shared the same premise – caretaker finds out he suddenly can speak to animals – mayhem ensues. But given the extremely dry season, I’ll take what I can get. :)
The Zookeeper stars Kevin James, Rosario Dawson, Donnie Wahlberg, Adam Sandler, Sylvester Stallone and and Cher. Star-studded! I hope the movie is comedy gold. Here’s the Zookeeper trailer!
It’s a new Jennifer Aniston movie! Ok, well, she’s not really the star, but she plays a horrible boss and THE ONLY woman in a lead cast of 7. HMMM! Have the producers not heard of gender diversity?? It feels like The Hangover all over again.
Except, this movie stars Jason Bateman, and I generally love his sense of humor. Jason Sudeikis too. They’re funny nerds. :) So I am looking forward to watching the movie, and I definitely hope that Jen gets LOTS of screen time! She’s playing a dentist who’s quite raunchy. I wonder if any of our poor star employees gets it with her in the movie. Maybe her assistant? :)

The combination of Disney-Pixar has always been an amazing tandem, resulting in great movies such as Toy Story, Monsters Inc, WALL-E, Up, etc. Now comes Brave, a fairy tale of Princess Merida, an archer and daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor. She is determined to make her own destiny, and outrages the lords of her kingdom when she defies a sacred tradition. She asks a witch for help, and somehow her mother is turned into a bear. To turn back the curse, Merida must learn the meaning of true bravery.

OMGGGG so excited to watch this film! This is the first fairy tale that Pixar will be embarking on. Of course Disney is a pro in that area, and I am just so super psyched to see a beautifully animated fairy tale done in 3D Pixar style!!! And Merida is the first female lead for Pixar. Yay, this is the first Pixar film that I am actually excited to watch!! Hehehe. I did say I loved the other Pixar films, it’s just that I liked it AFTER watching the movie. But for Brave, I can tell I will love it even after just watching the trailer. :)
Brave was previously named The Bear and the Bow. It hits theatres on June 22, 2012.
This is the trailer for Mission Impossible 4. Starring Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt of course! It hits theatres on December 26! From the looks of the trailer, things will be smashing breaking falling – Ethan would need to get auto/house/office/restaurant equipment for sale to put back everything he destroys in order to save the world! Though I am sure he gets highly paid to be a spy. :)
Knowledge Bit: The building Tom Cruise is rappelling on is Burj Kahlifa in Dubai. That’s the tallest building in the world!
P.S. I hope he doesn’t take off his shirt in this movie anymore. The last time he did that, it was a bit jarring (realization: he’s no longer the superhot Tom Cruise of Top Gun and Interview with the Vampire days! wahhh!).

As expected, it was a feel good movie that was light, fluffy and with a predictably happy ending. Yes, I love movies like these. Hahah. :)
I’ve watched so many blockbuster movies this year – Pirates, Green Lantern, Super 8, Transformers, etc. Sure, they were amazing and left me dizzy with all the twists and action shots and special effects… But sometimes I just want to relax and watch a movie where I know it will be colorful, pretty, fun and full of cute guys. Haha. :) Wish granted!!
If you like Disney movies, you will like this flick. And the Australian guy is hot. :)

I am so looking forward to this movie! :) I love Cameron Diaz. I don’t find her all that beautiful (except when she played that girl on My Best Friend’s Wedding – she was gorgeous there, I didn’t feel too aghast when she got the guy instead of Julia Roberts LOL) however I do find her very funny – so I’m always willing to watch her onscreen. Get ready for my Bad Teacher reviews when I’m done watching it! :)

One of the things I thought when I watched the trailer was, “So THAT’s where the lost boy went!” Do you know who I am talking about??? Dante Basco who played Rufio from the movie Hook!!! :) :) Okay, so maybe the guy’s had other movies in between – let’s give him credit. But this was the first time I saw him since Hook and I LOLed. I thought Lost Boys never grew up. :) Hehehe!
