Shining Inheritance is a Korean drama filmed in 2009. It is also known as 찬란한 유산 or Brilliant Legacy.

It stars Han Hyo Joo as Ko Eun-seong, the rich girl turned pauper overnight; Lee Seung Ki as Seon Woo-hwan, the arrogant heir to the Beef Soup empire he loathes; Moon Chae-won as Yoo Seung-mi, Eun-seong’s step sister who wants to marry Hwan; and Bae Soo-bin as Park Joon-se, Hwan’s cousin who secretly loves Eun-seong.

This drama rated highly in Korea, even besting Boys Over Flowers, which interested me enough to watch it. Currently, I am still downloading the first few episodes, so I will be posting short summaries over the next few days. So far, though, I’m quite surprised it rated so highly. It’s quite the drama – death, family, money, pride and honor – all kinds of hardships – it is actually very like a Filipino telenovela, in my opinion. So I am not loving it all that much as I prefer to be entertained by laughing not by being burdened by other people’s problems, even if fictitious.

Still, I’ve started, so I will finish this drama. I hope Shining Inheritance will lighten up in the next few eps.

Yes, I am still talking about You’re Beautiful, also known as 미남이시네요 / Minami Shineyo, soon to be broadcasting here in the Philippines. But since I don’t have a TV set, I went ahead and watched it online. I prefer watching the Korean dramas undubbed, anyway. It preserves the original feel of the series.

Anyway, I found more Minami Shineyo photos and I just wanted to share, because I still can’t forget them, so I’m dumping everything I find back to you. Hahaha!

Also known as You’re Handsome or 미남이시네요 / Minami Shineyo, the Korean drama You’re Beautiful is a fangirl must-see. The plot is predictable, but there is no shortage of cuteness or laugh-out-loud moments in this dramedy, so I give it my two thumbs up! I laughed and cried all the way, perhaps even spurred on by the theme songs both beautiful and heartbreaking.

Don’t be fooled by the poster. This isn’t a fantasy-themed drama. It’s about a nun (Go Minyu) who is forced to impersonate her twin brother (Go Minam) in a boyband (A. N. Jell) because the brother is recovering from surgery. She looks and sings exactly like her brother, but her demeanor is very girlish and innocent, which makes the other boys wary and suspicious of her. The leader of the A. N. Jell (Tae Kyung) finds her out, but she begs him to keep her secret. Throughout the course of her stay, she causes lots of trouble for Tae Kyung but at the same time starts to crush on him…

Well, I won’t spoil the rest of the story for you, but you can probably tell how it’s going to end. It’s a very light and fun drama, and I watched in on Youtube for two days straight. LOL. And I still rewatch it over and over because I think Tae Kyung (Jang Geun Suk) is too cute, haha. But he should really get some meat on his frame! Still, I love the show because it made me laugh. Really!

I hear from the online gravepine that ABS-CBN has bought the rights to You’re Beautiful. Will we be seeing Jang Geun Seuk in Manila to promote this drama then? Ooooh, I hope, I hope!!! Hahaha!
